Dawn Gaye Duff will return to Epiphany Beads after a hiatus she took to put on a one-woman art exhibit in Bluffton.  She is now returning to her passion for teaching, and will be here June 29th 2:00 - 5:00. Supply list will be provided upon signup and materials will be available for purchase at Epiphany Bead and Jewelry Studio.
The first 3 samples show this sophisticated necklace and earring set in black and white, however any of the color combos below can be used.  The student will learn cane building and how to do a design graduated in stripe size.  Of course this technique can be used for many other jewelry projects, which will be discussed.

These are the suggested color combos:
black and white
turquoise and coral
turquoise and white
coral and white
turquoise and gold
gold and pastel pink, beige, or mint green
lemon yellow and blue
grey and dark brown
white and gold

These combinations are recommended by both your instructor Dawn Gaye Duff and Epiphany shop owner Jessica Anderson Duckworth. The most important thing to remember is that there should be high contrast between your two choices.

If time allows, we will then introduce a third color and an additional technique to make these summery swirl beads that are perfect for a whimsical bracelet, and of course may be used for other jewelry as well.

I have a succession of techniques to show you, and each builds upon the last.  I am sure we won't have time for all six during the three hours we have, but I will carry over the themes when I return next month.  Thin stripes will be made  by adding metallic and pearlized clay to our leftover canes from the projects above, and working with gold leaf will be included to complete the workshop.  These classes will stretch your creativity, teach you techniques that can be adapted to many palettes, and used for many different projects.
